Common Questions & Answers

What happens now?

I’d like to get on a call via phone or Zoom and get to meet the both of you. This is an opportunity to get to know you and for you to ask me any questions you have, including pricing, and to pose any concerns you have. My job is to make things work! If you decide to book, I will send a contract + invoice you can look over. In the next 72 hours I will place a hold on your date. I do ask for a 30-35% deposit to lock in the date. And then we are set!

What’s the process like?

I know weddings can be the most exciting and most stressful thing to plan. My mission is to make it as seamless for you as possible. If you need help with vendors I know some DJs and I do have a wedding planner you can work with. I’m a calm and easy going guy. I get along with all personality types.

How’d you get into photography?

As a kid I would spend hours looking through old family albums and yearbooks. I’ve always loved looking at images. Growing up I always seemed to be the one who would always take the pictures. So much that I started working at a fine dining restaurant as the photographer. 15 years later, I have worked as a photo and video journalist, a food photographer, and an event photographer. Last year was when I decided to go all in on elopement & wedding photography.

Do you have any advice or tips for us on posing? We’re not models.

You don’t have to be! I may send you a “mood board” before the shoot. You just show up. I will give you some tips on what to wear. I will take the lead on this. I’ll show you how to stand, where to place your hands, which way to lean..all while you can take some deep breaths together and relish the moment.

Do you do pre-wedding shoots?

I know planning a wedding can get busy, but I firmly believe in getting your engagement shoots done. It’s a great way to build some anticipation of your upcoming day. It’s a wonderful chance for us to meet and hang. That’s why I offer a free photo session when you book with me! I only do epic locations though.
